What a dream this was.
Sophia is my husbands cousins daughter - mouthful right?
Mum and Dad completely trusted me with every aspect of the shoot, and on top of catching up after many years (thanks covid) we ended up having over 2 hours of relaxing photos. Dad said "i'm actually glad we did this" - ,music to my ears.
Sophia finally fell asleep for us after many top up feeds, changes and snuggles and she was worth the wait. Take a peak at some of my favourites from our session below.
Since they had just moved from Sydney back home, I set up a little area in my home for these photos.
Some mamas have been asking lately if I do studio photos - the answer is no sorry!
My newborn sessions are ran at the location of your choice (your home, parents home or an air bnb) . I find the best room with natural lighting and set up there. I do have some gorgeous knit outfits, beanies and headbands as well as blankets to bring along. I cringe at photos of babies in buckets and un-natural poses. As a photographer we all have our own style, and this below shows you perfectly what mine is. Photos with mum & dad, close ups, details and of course gorgeous photos of your precious baby alone (but nothing cliché of course).
